Just before 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, reports of power loss in the downtown area began coming into the 911 call center.

The Vicksburg Daily News reported a downed power line on Levee Street near LD’s. The cause of the break has not been determined. Crews are on the scene but have not provided an estimated repair time.

All stoplights north of Clay Street are out. Drivers should treat each intersection as a four-way stop until power is restored.
