VJHS Defeated Clinton 46-22 on Tuesday

Vicksburg, MS –The Vicksburg Junior High School football team came away with a 46-22 win over Clinton on Tuesday. The Gators improved to 3-0 after the victory.

By halftime, VJHS had a 30-6 lead as they stayed ahead for the remainder of the game. The Gators dominated in offense throughout the night as Rico Thomas had a passing and rushing touchdown. Antuwan Chiplin caught a 35-yard touchdown pass.

Defensively, Daylon Atkins caught a pick 6 and returned a punt for a score. Messiah Robinson took a kickoff return for a touchdown Jaqavious Porter returned a blocked put 25 yards for a touchdown. Ashlon Brown also had a sack and five tackles while Evan Herrington grabbed four tackles.

VJHS will travel to play Germantown on Tuesday.
