River City Radio CC to celebrate National Model Aviation Day

VICKSBURG, MS – The River City Radio Control Club is hosting a celebration of 2024’s National Model Aviation Day on October 12 at the Crosswind Air Park beginning at 9 a.m.

Trial flights will be available for those interested, with instructor pilots and trainer planes available.

Any Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) member will be allowed to fly. All types of model crafts are allowed, including: Radio control, free flight, control line, and drone/multi-rotor.

Please make certain that your model adheres to the following:

  • AMA number is inside the model or displayed on the exterior of the model.
  • FAA number is displayed on the exterior of the model.

This event is free and open to the public. Hamburgers, chips, and bottled water will be available for free until the supply is gone.

Crosswind Air Park is located at the junction of Halls Ferry Road and 9-Mile Cutoff, at 7322 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS.

River City Radio Control Club is an active group of model aviation enthusiasts located in Vicksburg, MS.
