Clinton Junior Falls to Vicksburg in 51-22 Basketball Loss

VICKSBURG, MS – Vicksburg Junior boys’ basketball team traveled to Clinton on Monday to face off Clinton Junior High and put on a show, with a 51-22 win.

Antwuan Chiplin, Clyde Mazie, Daylon Washington, and Cayleb Logan took over for VJHS in the first half. Coming out of halftime, Chiplin nailed a 3-pointer while Washington and Mazie continued to produce successful layups.

In the final quarter against Clinton Junior High, Washington dominated at the free throw line while Logan popped a 3-pointer. Chiplin didn’t let up at all leading the Gators with 17 points.

Washington chipped in 14 points in the win and Mazie added eight on the board. Logan finished with seven points while Daylen Atkins put up five and Rodney Allen hit a free throw.

The Gators are coached by Jerdon Hardiman and they will face Brandon on the road on Thursday.
