James D. Kegerreis: 1942-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — James D. Kegerreis of Vicksburg, Miss. passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 82. 

He served in the Navy. He was a nuclear consultant and retired after 41 years of service. He was very proud of his grandchildren. He was loved and respected by his children and grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Kegerreis and his parents, Vera Stephenson (Paul) and Robert Kegerreis.

He is survived by a son, Robert Kegerreis (Kim) of Hot Springs, AR and a daughter, Kelly Townsend (Dan) of Clinton, Miss.; grandchildren, Mandi Driver (Adam), Hannah Buckley, Kristopher Pecanty (Ashley) and Christa Roth (Dan); great-grandchildren, Baylyn Pecanty, Wyatt Driver, Dayton Buckley, Madden Buckley, Jagger Buckley, Levi Driver, Haisley Driver, Lincoln Roth and Lenox Roth.
