VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Jerry Lee Sanders passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 60.
Sanders’ passion in life was his horses, his family, and God. He loved riding and working with horses. He loved building race cars, going fishing and hunting with his family, and just having a good time. Anything dealing with the great outdoors, Sanders loved. He was always on the go, as he couldn’t sit still for long. Sanders was the type of man who worked hard to provide for his family and would help anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cathy Sanders; his brother, Johnny Sanders; his sister, Mammie Gentry; his granddaughter, Ashley Dawn Stanley; and his great-granddaughter, Bonnie Dawn Dennis.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Stacey Sanders; his children, Tabatha Brewers, Brandy Hale, Bobbie Joe Ortutay, Kayla Sanders, Tiffany Sanders, Catlin Sanders, Colt Sanders, Chris Darnell, Clay Green, and Gary Green; his brother, Daryll Sanders; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the chapel of Monsour & Patin Funeral Directors beginning at 11 a.m.
