Tallulah fugitive arrested while playing slot machine in Vicksburg
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A Tallulah man wanted in Louisiana for making terroristic threats against a public official was arrested in Vicksburg while sitting at a casino slot machine, authorities said.
Brian Keith Williamson, 30, was taken into custody by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and now faces additional charges after deputies found methamphetamine on his possession during the arrest.
The Louisiana State Police notified the sheriff’s office on Aug. 28 that Williamson was possibly in Vicksburg. Deputy Sheriff Bobby Stewart led the investigation that located Williamson at a local casino.
Williamson was charged with possession of methamphetamine. At his initial court appearance, Judge James Jefferson set bond at $10,000.
Williamson refused his right to be extradited, meaning he will remain in the Warren County Jail until Louisiana issues a governor’s warrant for his transfer.
