School closures for Tuesday, Jan.20

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg Warren School District announced early Tuesday, Jan. 20 that Vicksburg Intermediate School and Dana Road Elementary would be closed.

The schools will not meet for students on Tuesday, Jan. 20, due to a loss of water at the campus. Teachers and staff are still required to report to work as scheduled.

Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of students, classes for students are canceled for the day. District officials are actively working to resolve the issue and will continue to monitor the situation. Families will be notified of any updates regarding the status of the school.
