10-run fourth inning lifts Port Gibson past Amite County 15-0
PORT GIBSON, Miss. (VDN) — A 10-run fourth inning powered the Port Gibson High School baseball team to a 15-0 victory over Amite County on Tuesday night. The game lasted just four innings after the run rule went into effect.
Centrell Hedrick delivered a dominant performance on the mound, throwing a no-hitter while striking out seven batters. He also contributed at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double.
Michael Evans also had a big night offensively, finishing 3-for-4 with three RBIs. J. McGrew went 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Kimontae Crutison recorded one hit and one RBI, while Akeem Wells added a hit with two RBIs. Kendarion Owens collected one hit and one RBI, and Nathan Jones drove in a run for the Blue Waves.
