22-year-old motorcyclist dies in Fisher Ferry Accident

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The young motorcyclist involved in a Friday afternoon accident on Fisher Ferry has died.

The accident happened just after 5:30 this afternoon on Fisher Ferry near the Dollar General Store at that location. The sedan was struck on the rear passenger door by the motorcycle. The driver was thrown some distance from the point of the impact.

Units with the Warren County Fire Service worked with the motorcyclist for some time in an effort to save him. Fisher Ferry was closed while the accident investigation was conducted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Warren County Deputy Coroner Daryl Carson has confirmed the family was at the accident scene and the deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Willie Moore, Jr. of Vicksburg.
