Single engine crash reported near Vicksburg-Tallulah Regional Airport

Unconfirmed reports have said the crash involved locally renowned pilot Dan Fordice. However, there are no confirmed reports at this time nor damage assessments available.

Fordice is the son for former Mississippi Gov. Kirk Fordice who held office from 1992-2000. He was the director emeritus of Fordice Construction based in Vicksburg according to numerous reports.

Fordice owned a P-51 Mustang and was known to pilot the aircraft regularly. It is uncertain at this time if the P-51 was involved in the incident.

This is a developing story and updates will be provided.

Update 5:07 p.m.: Confirmed reports are coming in that Fordice was the pilot involved in the crash.

Update 7:10 p.m.: Confirmed reports say Fordice was piloting the P-51 Mustang when it crashed.
