Port Gibson man sentenced for killing a Vicksburg woman; Victim’s sister also sentenced
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Three suspects have been sentenced in connection to the 2023 death of a Vicksburg woman, including the victim’s sister.
Tyrone Goldberry, of Port Gibson, Tanaysheous Ford, of Vicksburg, and Depravious Crystain appeared before Judge Tomika Irving on Monday where they pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the death of 24-year-old Keairis Ford which occurred a few years ago.
Keairis Ford died in July 2023 in Port Gibson.
Goldberry pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years with five years suspended and 20 years to serve. Due to Mississippi law on second degree murder charges, Goldberry will have to serve his sentence day-for-day.
Tanaysheous Ford, the victim’s sister, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution. She was sentenced to five years with two years suspended and three years of house arrest.
Crystain pleaded guilty to abuse of a vulnerable person and received a five-year sentence with two years suspended and three years to serve.

All three suspects were initially charged with capital murder.
The Port Gibson Police Department made the initial arrests in the case, which began at the Windsor Arms Apartments on McComb Avenue. Investigators later determined foul play was involved and eventually solved the case.
