Vicksburg’s Andrews named to Mississippi Top 100
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Sam Andrews has been named to the Mississippi Top 100, an annual recognition of the state’s most influential leaders in business, government, media, culture, and community who have made a positive impact on Mississippi.
Andrews, 30, a Vicksburg native, serves as a senior advisor in the office of Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, managing a wide-ranging portfolio across state government, including economic development, external affairs, special projects, and federal relations.
In Andrews’ nearly five years on the governor’s staff, Reeves has appointed him to numerous posts, including the Mississippi Republican Party’s Executive Committee, and named him the state’s designee to the Delta Regional Authority, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Southern Crescent Regional Commission, among others. Andrews was also recently elected to the Mississippi Tourism Association’s board of directors.
“Great things can happen when you’re surrounded by great people,” Andrews said. “Governor Reeves, our chief of staff Anne Hall Brashier, my family, and so many others have been exactly that in my life. This was made possible because I’ve been supported and sharpened by some of the best Mississippi has to offer, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Sam and his wife, Anna Kate Andrews, also own Anchuca Historic Mansion and Inn, a landmark property in downtown Vicksburg that’s earned recognition as one of the South’s premier historic travel destinations in their three-plus years of ownership. Additionally, Anna Kate and Sam are expecting their first child in September 2026.
Honorees of the Mississippi Top 100 will be recognized the evening of Wednesday, May 13, during a sold-out event at the Country Club of Jackson featuring keynote remarks from Gov. Reeves.
