17-year-old taken into custody after early morning shooting on Frontage Road

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
A 17-year-old was taken into custody Saturday morning following a shooting investigation on Frontage Road, according to the Vicksburg Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 4:30 a.m. Saturday to the Econo Lodge in reference to a disturbance involving a dating dispute.
During the preliminary investigation, officers learned the individuals involved left the hotel in separate vehicles. While traveling on Frontage Road, the 17-year-old male allegedly fired two shots, striking the victim’s vehicle, police said.
The juvenile suspect was later located and taken into custody by the Vicksburg Police Department.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
