The Strand to host free Juneteenth showing
Celebrate Juneteenth at The Strand Theatre with a free screening of Faith & Freedom, a film about the holiday’s deep meaning.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg’s The Strand Theatre will host a free screening of Juneteenth Faith & Freedom Friday, June 19.
The event is free to the public and set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
The film was produced by Exodus Filmworks and Our Daily Bread Ministries.
The film explores the deep spiritual significance of Juneteenth as a man journeys across Texas to learn more about the history and meaning of the holiday.
Judge Toni Terrett is sponsoring the local showing of the film.
The Strand is located at 717 Clay Street and of course, the popcorn is free.
