George Henry Farrish, a cherished soul who graced this world on July 11, 1940, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, departed peacefully on June 19, 2026, enveloped in the enduring love of his family.

For 64 blissful years, George shared an unwavering bond with his beloved wife, Doris Jean Farrish. Together, they built a loving family, boasting two cherished daughters, Sheryl Ann and Barbi Lynn, each the apple of his eye. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren—Michael, George, and Ryan—and his treasured great-grandchildren, Stanley, Ashton, and Rylan. His memory is further cherished by his brother, Willie, and sister-in-law, Veronica.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Farrish, Sr., and  Susie Carpenter Farrish; siblings Lille Mae Farrish Collins, Joseph Farrish, Jr., Clotiel Farrish Carlysle, and Gladys Farrish Williams, along with a host of nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.

George’s heart was as expansive as his love for all creatures. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of animals and found joy in their company, believing every living being deserved kindness. His faithful dog, Buster, was his constant companion during their serene walks through the Military Park.

A craftsman of greenery, George’s yard was a testament to his labor of love, reflecting dedication, precision, and pride in the art of nurturing.

George’s life was a beacon of kindness, characterized by devotion and a gentle demeanor that left an indelible mark on those fortunate to know him. His spirit thrives in the hearts of his loved ones, a lasting tribute to a life well-lived and deeply loved.
