Vicksburg native Dr. Jon Bantugan joins Riverbend Eye Care

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — 

Vicksburg native Dr. Jon Bantugan has joined the staff at Riverbend Eye Care.

Bantugan earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2026 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 2018. He is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and Mississippi State University.

While attending Southern College of Optometry, Bantugan served as vice president of his graduating class and received the Dr. Fred H. Mothershed Endowed Scholarship.

The son of Jeame and Ruleo Bantugan, he is returning to his hometown to provide high-quality, compassionate eye care to the Vicksburg community.
