Nash Morgan enters Year 4 as Warren Central’s QB1
Nash Morgan enters his senior year as QB1 for Warren Central High School, aiming for another state championship. After leading the team to significant victories, he focuses on his final season while preparing for college football at Mississippi State University.
Nash Morgan is entering Year 4 as QB1 at Warren Central High School, and the senior quarterback has one more goal in mind — another state championship.
Morgan has led the Vikings for four straight seasons, helping the program capture district and North State championships along with the 2025 Class 6A state championship.
With Warren Central preparing to defend its title, Morgan believes the goals will remain the same despite a new-look roster.
“I’m real excited, and this is a new team, but it’s going to be the same goal,” Morgan said. “So I’m excited to see what everyone’s going to do, and we’re ready for another state championship.”
Morgan set the tone for greatness in 2025. After previously showcasing his ability through the air, he added another dimension to his game with his legs and finished as Warren Central’s leading passer and rusher.
Morgan threw for 1,452 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 1,577 yards and 27 scores. His performance helped Warren Central capture its first state championship in 31 years.
The accolades continued to pour in following the season. Morgan was named the district MVP, earned All-State honors and was selected as the State Championship Game MVP.
Morgan entered his junior season without a collegiate offer, but that quickly changed following his breakout year. Offers began pouring in before Morgan ultimately ended his recruitment by committing to Mississippi State University.
With his college decision behind him, Morgan can now put his full attention toward his senior season and helping Warren Central continue its winning ways.
“We want to win and get everyone where they’re supposed to be,” Morgan said.
Morgan and the Vikings will open the regular season Aug. 28 when they host Clinton High School.
