VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — There are numerous things happening around Vicksburg during the month of March. Several musical events, cultural events, sports tourneys, organizations and special interest options are available.

The American Splendor, American Serenade, American Symphony, and Viking will dock at City Front several times throughout the month. Yoga at the public library, a Senior Scramble at Clear Creek, Ladies Night options, and trivia are also on the list.

“Gold in the Hills” is this month at the Vicksburg Theater Guild. In its 89th year the show is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. It’s also earned a permanent place along Vicksburg’s historic waterfront with its very own floodwall mural. These murals depict the city’s history, from the first Coca-Cola bottling in America to the turning point in the Civil War. “Gold in the Hills” will forever have its place in Vicksburg’s heart.

The Convention Center and the Ardis T. Williams Auditorium will host events including “Fall in Love with Education Again” on Wednesday, March 5 and the Chamber luncheon on March 19.

The Southern Cultural Heritage Center will host their Southern Exposure Spring Break Camp and dance lessons. The Farmer’s Market returns on Saturday, March 15 and Second Saturday will be happening downtown on March 8.

Also on March 8, Alderman TJ Mayfield will host a Story Session Community Conversation at the Catfish Row Museum on Washington Street.

The Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau has compiled the list and it is presented below.
