VICKSBURG, Miss. – In preparation for the upcoming 89 hotel room refresh, Bally’s Vicksburg took the initiative to ensure that the replaced furniture would benefit the local community. After allowing employees to first select items for their immediate needs, the casino reached out to the United Way to coordinate donations to various agencies in need.

Michelle Connelly, Executive Director of the United Way of Central West Mississippi, and Alyssa Lick, Director of Marketing & Resource Development, played pivotal roles in facilitating the donation process.

“Both Michelle and Alyssa were fantastic to work with and were extremely helpful in coordinating the pick-ups,” said Derrius Morris, Vice President and General Manager of Bally’s Vicksburg.

Numerous agencies benefited from the donations, including Cary Christian Center, Good Shepherd, Grace Christian Counseling Center, River City Rescue Center, and the Salvation Army. Additionally, recent fire victims in the area who lost their homes were able to select furniture items.

The donation included a wide array of items like office chairs, lamps, sofas, lounge chairs, headboards, credenzas, entertainment centers, mini refrigerators, nightstands, and more. This initiative not only supports local organizations but also reinforces Bally’s Vicksburg’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.

Bally’s Vicksburg looks forward to continuing its partnership with the United Way and other local agencies to make a positive impact in the community.
