Blaze erupts overnight on Halls Ferry Road

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — An early morning fire on Halls Ferry Rd. has been extinguished after an extensive effort to put out the blaze.
According to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps, at approximately 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, the Vicksburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3101 Halls Ferry Road.
“Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a residential home fully engulfed in flames, illuminating the night sky,” said Chief Stamps. “Demonstrating their expertise, the crews executed a defensive attack strategy to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.”
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Halls Ferry road was blocked off in both directions, from near the Sonic to John Allen, while the Fire Department worked to put out the blaze.
