Bobby Coutch Harris: 1940-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Bobby Coutch Harris, 1940 – 2025, of Vicksburg, passed away peacefully at home in Vicksburg on May 11, 2025 of natural causes.

Bobby was born in Anguilla, Mississippi on December 25, 1940, to Louise Lindgren Coutch and Roddie Clarke Coutch.  She lived in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  Bobby graduated Culkin High School Class of 1958. Bobby was a member of Porters Chapel UMC. Bobby is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Robert Harris and their children: Mary Harris Bryant, Lori Tyson, Randy Pace, John Clyde Harris, two granddaughters Emma Bryant, Savannah Bryant, four grandsons Wesley Tyson, William Tyson, Walker Tyson, and Mathew Harris,and two great grandsons , Joseph Harris and Luca Harris. She worked many years at All Saints Episcopal School.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roddie Clarke Coutch and Louise Lindgren Coutch of Vicksburg and brother Glenn Coutch of Pearl, MS.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
At Bobby’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
