Alberta Marie Mills Morgan: 1936-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Alberta Marie Mills Morgan died Friday, April 18, 2025. She was 89.

Mrs. Morgan was retired from the Old Southern Tea Room and was a housewife. She was a member of Saint Paul Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Morgan Sr.; her grandmother, Adeline Wilson; her parents, Geneva Mills and Melvin Walker; two sisters, Delilah Rush and Lily Mae Allen; two brothers, McArthur Mills and Jesse Mills; and three granddaughters, Na-Tasha Morgan, Avis Banks and Ariah Banks.

She is survived by eight children: Debra Banks, Melvin Morgan Jr., Ralph Morgan, Belva Jean Reid, Francine Nichols, Glenda Brandon, Jessica Morgan and Allison Bailey. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services for Alberta Marie Mills Morgan will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Word of Faith Christian Center. There will be no repast.
