BOS releases agenda for Aug. 3 meeting

The Warren County Board of Supervisors have released the agenda for the Monday, Aug. 3, meeting.

This meeting is set to hold a public hearing to record objections to the 2026 Assessments of Real and Personal Property.

The agenda is as follows:

Public Hearing:
Beverly Johnson, Chancery Clerk

  • Approve Order for hearing Objections to the 2026 Assessments of Real and PersonalProperty
  • Hearing of all Objections to the 2026 Real/Personal Property Assessment Rolls thatwere filed with the Chancery Clerk by the onset of this meeting on August 3, 2026

Approve Consent Agenda

  • Road Department’s Monthly Work Order Report
  • DA’s Monthly Report of Fines for June 2026
  • Monthly County financial reports for July 2026
  • Accept Tax Collector’s Privilege Tax License Collections for July 2026
  • Sheriff Department Summary of Daily Meal Logs
  • Commission Minutes:E911 Commission minutes for 06/17/2026 Port Commission minutes for 06/23/2026

  • Approve driveway permits
  • Approve temporary easements

Keith O’Keefe, County Engineer

  • Approve advertising for bids for NRCS Group 12 (5) Sites
  • Approve extension letter request to NRCS for Group 11 (6 Sites)
  • Approve Change Order #3 for Wildstone Construction on the Golding River OverlookProject in the amount of $95,134.53
  • Award Bid for the Clear Creek Nature/Hiking Trail Project 75(353)

Ben Luckett, Tax Assessor

• Approve/Reject Tax Abatement – Mutual Credit Union

Victoria Bell, Purchasing Agent

  • Rescind the award of the Tax Collector security service contract to Big SammySecurity, LLC and award the contract to Thomas and Thomas Security services.
  • Approve the amendment to the County Requisition Authority list to reflect personnelchanges

    Blake Teller, Board Attorney

    • Approve and authorize Board President to sign Resolution Directing the Sale andAward of General Obligation Bonds in an Aggregate Principal Amount of Not toExceed $10,000,000.00
    • Approve and authorize Board President to sign joint resolution with the City ofVicksburg to obtain property for the new port project by eminent domain proceedings.

    Nkemdili Lewis, County Administrator 

    • Approve invoices of Neel-Schaffer Inc. totaling $30,180.00 for jail

    • Approve invoice of Blake Teller
    • Approve payment in the amount of $34,051.20 for Warren County’s share of E-911dispatchers’ salaries, matching benefits and insurance for June 30, 2026 through July15, 2026
    • Approve invoices from various vendors for new jail in the amount of $240,252.82
    • Accept and acknowledge the Warren County Veteran Service Monthly Activity Report for information only
    • Approve disbursement check for overpayment to Constable Glenn McKay for retirement contributions for 2025 calendar year in the amount of $14.61
    • Authorize and Approve Board President to sign Change Order Request from White Construction OCO 16 – POD B thru POD A Fiber Loop Addition for new jail
    • Authorize and Approve Board President to sign Change Order Request from White Construction OCO 17 – Employee Parking Perimeter Fence Enhancement for new jail
