VICKSBURG, Miss.—Warren Central High School track star Adria Burrell dominated in last week’s track meet. Burrell finished in first place in the 100m, 200 and 400.

In the 400, Burrell had her personal best time at 1:00.39.

“I felt good but I know it’s time to work harder so I can get it lower,” Burrell said. “I know I’m not done yet because the state meet is in May so I’m trying to stay focused.”

In the 100m, Adria finished first with a time of 12.45, and 26.23 in the 200. Last year as a junior, she won the state championship in the 200 m.

Burrell recently picked up scholarship offers from Hinds Community College, Coahoma, University of West Alabama, Grambling State University, and Alcorn State University. She is coached by Heather Casey at WC and they will compete in the Canton City Speed Invitational on Monday.
