Chareck Cable added to the VHS basketball coaching staff

VICKSBURG, MS – Vicksburg High School Head Basketball Coach Kelvin Carter has hired Chareck Cable as an assistant coach for the upcoming season. 

“He’s a huge addition to this staff and I’m glad to have a basketball-minded individual to come aboard and he has the same love and passion about the game as I do,” Carter said.

Chareck Cable is a native of Jackson, Mississippi and he graduated from Madison-Ridgeland Academy where he played basketball. He went on to play at Southwest Mississippi Community College. Cable is a graduate of Belhaven University and has plenty of coaching experience from Brandon High School, Poplarville, and Warren Central.

The official basketball season will begin on November 5th when VHS travels to face South Pike High School. The Gators reached the second round of the playoffs last year and will have plenty of new faces in their starting lineup for the upcoming season.
