Chick-fil-A owners Nick and Bridget Jones announced on social media that they are moving closer to family in Georgia and that Chick-fil-A will stay open.
Although the move is several months away, they wanted to spread the word now and ensure the community that Chick-fil-A will stay open.
Here is the announcement as they presented it:
“Hey everyone, we have some exciting news to share! After much reflection and anticipation for the future, our family prepares for a new chapter. We will move from our beloved home in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Forsyth, Georgia, late in the summer of 2024! This move, while bittersweet, will bring us closer to our families, allowing us to create even more cherished memories together. We have tried to tell as many people as possible face-to-face or over the phone, but now we are getting calls and texts anyway, so FB now.
Vicksburg will forever hold a special place in our hearts, mainly as our kids have grown up here, surrounded by the warmth and charm of this beautiful city. The only reason we would ever leave this city is to be closer to our families in Georgia, which is the only reason we are moving now. Vicksburg has a tremendous and growing future. We are truly grateful for the support and love we have received from this community.
These past 11 years as the local Chick-fil-A owner/operator have been nothing short of incredible. We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve this fantastic community and the friendships we’ve formed. Your unwavering support and kindness have meant the world to us, and we’ll always treasure the memories we’ve shared in Vicksburg. We have loved and continue to love Vicksburg. You welcomed my family and me with open arms, and we have always felt like we were part of Vicksburg.
As we prepare to embark on this new journey to Forsyth, we’re grateful for the memories and experiences we’ve gained in Vicksburg.
I am sure we will have many questions, and I will do my best to answer them all in time. Our team at Chick-fil-A Vicksburg knows about it, and the restaurant is NOT closing. There will be a transition period, but Chick-fil-A will continue to serve the Vicksburg community for a very long time. We are NOT moving because of issues, problems, staffing, money, or anything else. It is purely to be close to family. Yes, we love you all and will miss you terribly. Yes, we will visit.
Stay tuned for updates as we settle into our new chapter. Here’s to fond memories, cherished friendships, and the excitement of new beginnings!”
