VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen re-entered seven properties to the nuisance property list at the regular meeting held today, Monday, Nov. 10.

The board heard from Jeff Richardson at the meeting to discuss properties re-entered on the nuisance property list as part of the Community Development Division Agenda. All seven properties had previously been in violation of the city ordinances and were once again added to the list.

The addresses re-entered were 1011 Bowman Street, 2704 Oak Street, 1719 Martin Luther King Boulevard, 1843 Martin Luther King Boulevard, 1916 Martin Luther King Boulevard, 2004 Martin Luther King Boulevard, and 2006 Martin Luther King Boulevard.

A full description of the properties can be found below.

All properties violated the overgrown grass and weeds, trash, and debris in public view ordinance. No one from any of the listed properties was present to supply a rebuttal before the board.

As for the rest of the meeting agenda, there was no discussion on the consent agenda nor the claims docket, and the agenda was approved unanimously.

The board and mayor did take time to recognize the Warren Central High School girls and boys swim team for winning the 2025 MHSAA Class II State Championship.

Aldermen TJ Mayfield, Ward 1, read the plaque presented to the team, which included congratulations on an amazing showing of the true spirit of champions.

The full agenda can be found below.
