Crawfish cook-off fundraiser May 31 to benefit local ministries

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The community is invited to dig into a day of food, fun, and fellowship at the Crawfish Cook-Off, a fundraiser supporting Serenity House Ministry and SWAG Men’s Ministry. The event will take place Saturday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering all-you-can-eat crawfish at 1366 U.S. 61, hosted by the Elks Lodge BPOE No. 95.

Pre-sale tickets are available for $25, with tickets sold the day of the event for $30. Local chefs will compete for the title of “Best Crawfish Cook,” serving up a variety of dishes celebrating this Southern staple.

Proceeds from the cook-off will go directly to both ministries, which provide vital services such as housing assistance, outreach programs and support for individuals and families in crisis.
