Deceased Male Found at Gas Station in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, MS. – The Vicksburg Police Department responded to a gas station on Cherry Street on Monday morning regarding a deceased white male. Upon VPD’s arrival, the man was inside his car at 1217 Cherry Street at 7:21 a.m.

Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey identified the deceased as 55-year-old Melvin Winters. No foul play is suspected in his death, according to reports.

Winters’ family has been notified and his body will not be sent to the State Crime Lab.
