Financial seminar set for April 26 by local sorority alumnae chapter

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. is inviting the community to take charge of their financial future at its upcoming Financial Fortitude Seminar, set for Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Vicksburg Event and Business Center, 2321 Washington St.

Hosted by the chapter’s Economic Development Committee, this year’s seminar is themed “Money Matters: Budget, Build & Protect.” The goal is to empower local residents with practical tools and knowledge to help them make informed financial decisions.

Participants can choose between two engaging tracks. The first includes “Master Your Money: Make Every Dollar Count,” a session on budgeting basics, followed by “Credit Confidence: Level Up Your Score,” focused on improving and maintaining good credit.

The second track centers on building long-term financial security, with “Investments – Grow Your Wealth or Invest & Impress” and “Estate Planning – Secure Your Future & Protect Your Legacy.”
