Key City Classic scheduled for April 26

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Lace up your running shoes for the highly anticipated Key City Classic, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event, which will take place in conjunction with Old Courthouse Flea Market, will feature a 10K run, 5K run, 5K walk, and a 1-mile fun run. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to take part in this exciting community event.

The race will begin and end at the intersection of Monroe St and Grove St.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025
• Location: Old Courthouse Flea Market, Monroe St and Grove St
• Race Start Times:
  • 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk: 8:00 AM
  • 1-Mile Fun Run: Between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, following the 5K

Awards will be given in the Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters categories for the 10K run, 5K run, and 5K walk. Additionally, each race will have age-group awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) in the following brackets: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 & older.

Raffle Tickets Available Now
Grace Christian Counseling Center is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes, including an H.C. Porter dibond of “Taylor’s Grocery,” a private dinner for six prepared by Chef William Furlong, a two-night stay at Duff Green Mansion, and a commissioned art piece by Seth Hudspeth. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 601-636-5703. The raffle runs through April 26.

Registration Information
Early registration for the event is $25 through April 18. Those interested can register online at raceroster.com/events/2025/94661/key-city-classic. Race packets, including bibs and event T-shirts, can be picked up at Grace Christian Counseling Center on Friday, April 25, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
