Four Eagles earn All-MACCC honors

JACKSON, Miss. – Four Hinds Men’s Soccer athletes earned All-MACCC accolades following their performances on the field this season on Wednesday. Jedin Lee, Younes Ezzaim, João Pereira, and Justin Hasty were the Eagles that was selected to the All-MACCC teams.
Jedin Lee earned First Team All-Conference honors in his first season with the Eagles. The freshman was a key contributor on the backline playing the center back position. Lee finished the season with four goals and one assist. The defender also totaled nine points and started in 14 contests for the Eagles.
Goalkeeper Younes Ezzaim started in 12 games for the Eagles and earned Second team All-MACCC honors. Ezzaim was the primary keeper for the Eagles and registered 1,056 minutes in goal on the year. Additionally, he faced 63 shots and posted 47 saves. His record in goal for the season was 7-2-3 and recorded four shutouts.
Captain João Pereira joins Ezzaim as a second team selection. The Lisbon, Portugal native started in 15 contests this season for the Eagles as a Midfielder. Pereira scored three goals, had a team-high eight assists, and led the Eagles with 14 points.
Justin Hasty earned Honorable Mention honors by the MACCC. He played a crucial part of the Eagles’ backline and started in all 16 games for Hinds this season. The sophomore from Vicksburg, Miss. had one assist on the year.
