The Celebration will be marked by five pillar events throughout the year, starting with a celebration of the date of Vicksburg’s Incorporation on January 29, 2025.

January 29, 2025 – 200-Year Anniversary of Vicksburg Incorporation

April 26, 2025 – Music & Culture Festival

The Fourth Annual April cultural celebration (formerly Arts & Music Festival) will showcase the local and regional music many Vicksburgers already know and love, but we’ll also highlight cultural aspects of the Delta that may be a little less familiar. Think: dancing, theater, demonstrations and more. The Festival will continue to partner with the Alcorn State University Jazz Festival, and we’ll add some special celebratory surprises!

July 4-6, 2025 – Independence Weekend

Vicksburg is already known for hosting the longest fireworks show in the State of Mississippi every year on the Fourth of July, but for our Bicentennial year we plan on making it bigger and better than ever!

October 4, 2025 – Fall Family Fair

We invite all current and past Vicksburgers to assemble in their beloved city for a Fall Fair and Vicksburg Homecoming! There will be games, music, and even some unexpected fun for the entire family, all generations and walks of life.

December 31, 2025 – New Year’s Eve Celebration
