Friday night softball: WC and VHS took first round losses on Friday

Warren Central and Vicksburg High School softball team took first round losses on Friday night.

VHS:

The Missy Gators fell short to Saltillo 14-4 where Harmony Harris and Avery VanNorman both had two hits each in the loss. Amari Johnson, Lili Kistler, MaKynzie Dunmore and Trinity McGloster each had a hit.

VHS will face Saltillo again today at home at 3 p.m.

WC:

The Lady Vikes took a 3-0 loss to Grenada at home on Friday. Jenn Smith, Adalyn Anderson, Makayla Jackson and KeKe McKay all hit singles in the game but WC couldn’t manage to pull off the win.

The Lady Vikes will travel to face Grenada today at 2 p.m. in hopes of keeping their season alive.
