Hinds CC Women’s Soccer Defeated Tougaloo Last Week

RAYMOND, Miss. – The Hinds Community College Women’s Soccer team put on a fantastic performance on Tuesday when they put together a 9-0 rout over Tougaloo College at Tom Shepherd Field. With the win, the Lady Eagles improve to 2-3-1 overall.
Hinds got the scoring started early when Madison Tigrett found Shannon Pearson in the middle of the box as she found the back of the net. Rubi Garcia grabbed her first goal on the season to double the Lady Eagles lead over Tougaloo. Kynleigh Doyleand Melisa Chow Juardo scored in the 30th and 31st minutes of play to take the commanding 4-0 advantage. The scoring party continued as Mattie Grace Reich, Maylynn Goulette, and Emma Sutterfieldtallied a goal before the halftime break.
Madison Marin and Kali Frith rounded out the scoring for the Lady Eagles as they picked up a massive victory over Tougaloo. In goal, Jocelyn Hepler played the first 45 minutes of play and then Keira Hawley and Kamiya Fultz split time in goal to finish the contest.
Hinds will return to action on Saturday, September 14 against Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit before the MACCC season starts. Kickoff with the Lady Bears is set for 7:00 PM.
