James Stirgus and Linda Patterson file for reelection to VWSD Board of Trustees

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

James Stirgus and Linda Patterson have both filed for reelection to the Vicksburg Warren School District Board of Trustees.

The terms of the two incumbent board members expire in December 2026 unless they are reelected in the Nov. 3 general election which is just a few months away.

Stirgus, who serves as president of the school board, represents District 3 and is one of the board’s longest-serving current members.

Patterson represents District 4 after winning a 2024 special election to fill a vacant seat. She is the board’s newest member.

The candidate qualifying deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 20.
