Jazmine Hester crowned Vicksburg High School 2026 Prom Queen

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —Jazmine Hester has been crowned the Vicksburg High School 2026 Prom Queen. She received the honor Saturday at the Vicksburg City Auditorium, where the prom was held.

“I was shocked, honestly, but very happy, and I’m glad that my classmates voted for me,” Hester said.

Hester attended prom with her date, Cannon Jackson.

At Vicksburg High School, Hester is a senior involved in Key Club, the yearbook committee and the leadership team. She is also a two-time homecoming maid. She said her favorite academic subject is reading and plans to attend Pearl River Community College after graduation, where she will major in nursing.

Hester added that she is the only girl among her siblings and has five brothers. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Stephanie Hester.
