Leadership Vicksburg tours the Capitol

A group of young professionals from Warren County visited the Mississippi Capitol on Wednesday, January 10 to meet with legislators and observe state government in action.

The group, known as Leadership Vicksburg, took a tour of the Capitol and heard from Representative Oscar Denton, Representative Kevin Ford, Representative Jeffery Harness and Senator Briggs Hopson.

The Leadership Vicksburg program is a nine-month program with the Vicksburg-Warren Economic Development Partnership that provides participants with educational and leadership opportunities. The group visits local businesses, organizations and government entities to learn about their impact on Vicksburg and Warren Counties.
