Man struck by vehicle on Haining Road

VICKSBURG, MS – A Service driver was struck by a vehicle this afternoon, in the 1600 block of Haining Road. According to reports, an employee of a contractor doing service work for the water department was struck by a vehicle

At approximately 1402 hours, the Vicksburg Fire Department swiftly responded to a distress call at 601 Haining Road, where a vehicle had collided with a pedestrian. Upon arrival, the emergency responders provided immediate treatment to a male patient who had sustained a lower-body injury. The patient was then carefully transported to Merit Health ER for further medical attention.

Injuries are not life threatening according to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps.
