Vicksburg native Mason Watts crowned UWA Homecoming King
Vicksburg native Mason Watts has been crowned Homecoming King at the University of West Alabama for 2026. Watts, a senior majoring in interdisciplinary studies, was honored during the homecoming festivities held on Saturday.

Vicksburg native Mason Watts has been selected as the University of West Alabama’s 2026 Homecoming King.
Watts was officially crowned Saturday alongside Homecoming Queen Bailey Davidson. The pair was crowned by 2025 Homecoming Queen Andrewnetta Adams, UWA President Todd G. Fritch and Student Government Association President Ben Sailors.
Watts, a senior from Vicksburg, is majoring in interdisciplinary studies. He is a member of the Alpha Delta Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., where he serves as chaplain.
Since spring 2025, Watts has also served as a UWA student ambassador. He currently works with the Tigers’ football program as an offensive line student assistant.
Watts is a 2023 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he was a standout football player. During his time with the Flashes, Watts served as a team captain and earned All-District and All-County honors.
Following his senior season, Watts signed to continue his football career at UWA in 2023.
Watts is the son of Kimberly Harris-Watts and McArthur Watts.
