Multiple local track & field athletes shined at the MC Invitational

MADISON, Miss. (VDN)—Multiple local track & field athletes finished on top at the Madison Central Jaguar Invitational on Friday.
At the Invitation, for the girls, Warren Central’s Adria Burrell came out on top in the 100m(12.46) and 200m(24.96). Arrionna Jenkins earned a first-place ribbon in the shot put(33-11) and second place in the discus(108-6). Madison Ward succeeded in the triple jump as she came in second place(37-6) and third place in the long jump.
Vicksburg’s Zion Knox was victorious in the triple jump(39-6.5) and the long jump(18’4). She and Makenzy Edmond both tied in third place for the high jump. Amiyah Hall had third-place finishes in the 100m(12.77 and 200m(25.07).
WC’s Dwight Palmer earned a first-place ribbon in the 200m(22.23). He also came in second in the 100m(10.96) and the 400m(49.10).
Rickey Neal Jr. came first in the long jump(22’2) and second in the triple jump(44-3). Chester Savage finished in second place in the 300 m hurdles(40.14).
Vicksburg’s Jayden Woods came in fourth place in discus(123’4).
