Omicron Rho Lambda named 2026 Alumni Chapter of the Year

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter, seated in Vicksburg, were recently awarded the 2026 Alumni Chapter of the Year by the District of Mississippi. The announcement was made at the 54th District Conference held in Biloxi, MS January 29th-31st. They will represent Mississippi at the Southern Regional Convention in Raleigh, NC, March 26-29, 2026.Mr. Terry Steed is the chapter president. 

Omicron Rho Lambda chapter was chartered in Vicksburg March 21, 1987. The Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter has been steadfast at serving the Vicksburg, Mississippi community.  They are continuing to do their part in developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for their community.  “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All.”
