PCA finished Friday with a 22-20 win over Park Place

Porter’s Chapel Academy football team came away with a 22-20 win over Park Place on Friday. Jase Jung sealed the win for PCA as he rushed for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

The Eagles fought their way back into the game as they trailed 14-0 at halftime. PCA came out and scored in the second half but Park Place also responded with a score to go up 20-6. Jung eventually earned another touchdown to put PCA back in the game.

Late in the fourth quarter, Hunter Simms tipped a screen pass and intercepted the ball and Jung scored his final touchdown just a few plays later which led to the win. 

Defensively, Chad Fuson led with 14 tackles and Austen Moore finished with nine. Simms had eight tackles and one interception while Jung and Conley Johnston both had seven tackles. Henry Slayton and Morris Bailey both finished with five tackles.

PCA will travel to play Tensas Academy on Friday.
