St. Aloysius won their first game since the 2022 football season as they took down Clinton Christian 19-6 on Friday. The Flashes are under the leadership of Head Coach Walker Mosby.

“I feel super great about the win but I’m more excited for the kids because they’re the reason for this,” Mosby said. “All I did was cheer them on and it was special to witness this moment for them.”

The Warriors scored first after a fumble recovery put them in the Flashes’ territory. Clinton Christian Academy maintained their 6-0 lead throughout halftime.

Coming out of halftime, St. Al profited from their run game as Pierson Smith scored two rushing touchdowns along with 151 rushing yards. Thompson Fortenberry also scored a rushing touchdown as he finished with 81 yards. John Ellis Montgomery kicked a successful extra point and  Sadler Lambiotte had 37 rushing yards.

Keller Bradley was the star of the show on defense as he grabbed four tackles and two interceptions.

St. Aloysius finished the game with 320 rushing yards and a well-deserved win. They will host Central Hinds on Friday.
