PCA took a 72-52 loss to Columbus Christian on Friday

Porter’s Chapel Academy football team fell short in a high-scoring 72-52 loss to Columbus Christian on Friday. 

Star quarterback Jase Jung was taken to the hospital by ambulance after a reported neck injury in the fourth quarter. Before his injury, Jung carried the ball 37 times for 409 yards and four touchdowns he now holds the single-season touchdown record with 35 on the year. He also tied the career rushing touchdown record with 74.

Austin Moore had 103 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Chad Fuson led the defense with eight tackles and Henry Slayton grabbed seven. Conley Johnston and Hunter Simms both had five tackles.

The Eagles will travel to play Wilkinson County Christian on Friday.

Other games:

St. Aloysius took a 28-0 loss to Columbia Academy last night. Pierson Smith led the offense with 43 rushing yards. The Flashes will host Manchester Academy on Friday.
