PCA Took Down Prentiss Christian 22-8 on Friday
Porter’s Chapel Academy came away with their first win of the season on Friday when they took down Prentiss Christian 22-8.
The Eagles managed to score on the first play from scrimmage as Jase Jung ran for a 61-yard score. Before halftime, the Eagles were up 8-0 after Morris Bailey grabbed a safety.
PCA earned their other two scores from runs in the second half. Jung ran for both a 10-yard and 8-yard touchdown. He finished with 31 carries, 252 yards, and three touchdowns.
Defensively, PCA had a great performance as Conley Johnston and Hunter Simms both had eight tackles while Henry Slayton(one sack), Bailey(sack and safety), and Chad Fuson(2 pass deflections) all had seven tackles. Jung also grabbed six tackles as well as his third interception on the year while young athletes John Austin White and Carson Hays both stepped up and had five tackles.
Fuson also caught a 25-yard pass from Jung.
The Eagles will travel to face Riverdale on Friday.
