Proceeds From Upcoming BBQ Cookoff Benefitting Two Nonprofits

There’s a BBQ showdown you won’t want to miss happening March 23.

All proceeds of this cookoff go to Haven House and Micah’s Mission.

The Bud Lokey Memorial Barbeque Competition Cookoff and Flea Market is $10 per person at the gate with kids under 10 years old getting in free.

The event is March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Vicksburg Elks Lodge at 1366 Hwy 61 South.

Winners of the BBQ cookoff will be announced at 2:30 p.m. with cash prizes for the top three overall teams.

If you’re interested in cooking:

If you want to compete in the competition, there is a $200 entry fee for chicken, ribs (meat provided), and then $25 extra for pulled pork. (people’s choice)
