Rebecca “Becky” Cannon 1949-2024

Rebecca “Becky” Cannon passed away on January 28, 2024, at Merit Health River Region Hospital. She was 74.

Becky was born on July 12, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She retired from the Street Clinic after over 40 years of service. After retirement, she devoted her life to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. They were her pride and joy. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 42 years, Lawrence “Larry” Cannon, and her grandson Cannon Thomas Lampkin.

She is survived by her daughters Angie Jones (Tom) and Lori Lampkin (Timmy), brother Joseph Sheller (Karen), sisters Beth Wooten (Louie) and Linda Dubuisson (Douglas), grandchildren Justin Thomas Jones (Amber), Jeremy Lee Jones (Macie) Taylor Ray Lampkin and Cassidy Lauren Lampkin, and great-grandchildren Ridge Jones, Brandt Jones, Rivers Kate Jones and Bennett Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Glenwood Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Bill Wright. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Jones, Jeremy Jones, Taylor Lampkin, Chad Tanner, Tommy Hoben, and Steven McGee.
