Remembering Louise Murdock

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Louise Murdock passed away peacefully in her sleep at The Bluffs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Vicksburg, Miss. on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Born in Knoxville, Ill., on May 9, 1945, she was the daughter of Maurice Webb and Marjorie Hannam.

Louise and James Murdock, her husband of 48 years, got an early start in school in Williamsfield, Ill., before marrying on August 7, 1965. She lived in Dahinda, Ill.,  then Galesburg, Ill. with her love, her children, and her grandchildren. She was an amazing mother to all.

She is survived by her two sons, Jay Murdock and Mattson Murdock; her grandchildren, Tyler Ferris, Jayce Murdock, Paige Murdock, and James “Lance” Murdock.
